So yes, I have not updated anything on DA in forever, I hardly comment on anything, and barely ever check the site. Time constraints and a shlump of demotivation has caused this. I haven't felt like working on anything because every time I do, I frustrate myself. Which is no excuse, I should keep practicing. But I am having a hard time creating quality work, because I will get a couple of hours to work on something every couple of days, at most. My thoughts and ideas are too disconnected, especially in the area of my manga. I am also trying to make my work much more professional with the right tools, which I will hopefully be getting for Christmas *crosses fingers*
Anyway...one thing that was frustrating me, other than needing better art supplies (microfine pens and a lightbox for inking my sketches), is that the storyline of Circum Universe was so disconnected. I had a million ideas of how I wanted things in my head, but not solid connection between them, no main theme, and no ending. It was just random "this character and that character and this would be funny if..." stuff.

So...I'm starting from the beginning. I am writing the story of Circum Universe in a book format first, to iron out the character personalities, imagery, and plot before I even attempt to spend months drawing stuff that I change my mind on and toss to the side. So here we go, I'm submitting chapter one tonight. Those of you who are writers, please please please comment. I want this story to be good, and the manga version of it, even better.

Sooo...
that whole thing about 1 new manga page a week? Yeeeaaah, didn't happen. I suck at accomplishing my goals. So, I guess I'll make myself some more! Yaaaaay!

Firstly, though I like my manga pages, every time I look at them, I think, "Geez. You can do better than that." So I have been thinking about going back and redoing my previous pages, and following a new style with the next ones as well. Less sketchy - cleaner lines, better tones and shading, non-generic speech bubbles, that sort of thing. So if I don't submit anything for awhile, it's probably either because I'm busy, or, I'm working extra hard on Circum Universe. Also don't freak out when my old ones get deleted, cause that mean's I'm close to a breakthrough! Or something.

Since I haven't updated in awhile, I thought maybe I probably should.

I am currently doing more work on Circum Universe than I have in awhile, I hope you are all enjoying the manga pages so far. I am working on trying to get at least 1 (if not more) page up per week. That's meh goal, anyhow. Since it will be a pretty long manga in the long run with all the planets we have to visit and the whole storyline to go through, I want to really get working on it. Encouraging words help. ^^ I often feel like it's too crappy to go on - but I love it so much I almost always pick it up again. xD

I've also started taking commissions for Gaia avatar artworks for gold. Contact me on Gaia (I'm Atherine there) if anyone who happens to read this is interested.

Lastly, but not leastly, I'm also rolling over more ideas in my head for the Tale of Korora Maori and another story I've been working on for awhile now.

The new DA layout is crazeh. There are some things I like, some I don't like too.

It's glitchy for me. The pages don't load half the time. I dun like that.

Anyhow...
Only a few more weeks of being here, and I'm back to college. So excited. So ready to be out of here.

I started playing a new online game, SilkRoad Online. It's fun so far. Only played it once yet though. Hehe. It's a free download, free to play 3D MMORPG. Funness.
Also, I don't know if I'll ever go back to RO. I never thought I'd say that, but I might not. Maybe iRO...maaaybe...if I get a huge craving to. It's been tempting at times, but it's just not worth it to me anymore.
Even private servers don't appeal to me, and they're free. >.<
Maybe again someday. I did have to take a hiatus last summer, and got back into it again later. Maybe that'll happen again. *shrug*
Until then, I'm trying out other MMOs. Free ones. o.o; I don't have time and money to invest in pay to play games anymore.
